Previous works and prototypes which demonstrate my ability and skill sets to be able to follow through with our creative projections:
PROTOTYPES:
For my Major Project I will be creating an interactive exhibition space similar to this Cymatic hologram exhibit I created for AUM314. I will be developing further on this style of presenting music visually by incorporating the theme around interpretation. I will then implement it into an augmented reality platform so audiences can interact with sound and visuals creating their own compositional piece that will represent interpretation as they navigate the room through various Linguistic musical projections and representations.
Small Prototype for a holographic illusion using a giant perspex dome in order to make a pepper's ghost illusion
Users interacting with visual representation of sound on exhibition night
For Creating an augmented or virtual reality exhibition space for participants to interact within the space. I have created within Unity Game engine on two previous projects, coding both visual and audio assets:
I coded various extra characters within this game template to interact with the player. For example the spiders chase the player. Also music changes depending on where you are within the game space. Audio assets were collected and then placed in different parts of the game world. depending on where you are you within the virtual space you can hear different things. I have been collecting samples of language patterns to manipulate into musical patterns. these will become the representative musical of language prosody that exhibition participants can interact with.
Addressing critical theory around the medicalisation of mental health. (Foucalt,M. 2001) This game was created within a group for my CIM211 class. I composed music for an experience room of psychosis and anxiety. I will be building on this idea of addressing critical theory through an immersive game experience. Giving the player an opportunity to experience something they don't understand from the perspective of someone else.
